With Global Volunteers, you and your family experience daily life in Ecuador through the lives of the local people, while you develop friendships with the children, young people and adults who live, work and play there. When you visit our partner community, you'll be struck by the tremendous contributions volunteers have made - constructing a child care center, painting and renovating another, and offering encouragement and guidance to young children. More importantly, you will be embraced by friends not previously known and develop friendships that will never end. When you leave there will be no question in your mind that you and your family, those with whom you served, those who came before you and those who will follow, made and continue to make an enormous difference in the lives of local children.
During free time, you and your team mates can enjoy visiting cultural and natural attractions in the Quito area, including museums and parks, and a tour to the Equator, just a short trip from our host community.
