China Country Manager
Global Volunteers service programs are led by experienced team leaders. Our country managers have served on one or more volunteer teams, and each year are required to complete our intensive two-week training seminars in Minnesota. They are experienced in managing diverse groups of people, and are formally evaluated by each volunteer team. County Managers must achieve an established level of performance in order to continue leading Global Volunteers teams. Bao Li has demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities. After a volunteer's medical emergency, a fellow team member wrote in recognition of Bao Li:
"Baoli acted with great compassion and worked efficiently and professionally to maintain communications between (the) family, Global Volunteers, the insurance company and the staff of the hospital. Baoli dealt with the local bureaucracy to make sure that all the necessary paperwork was in order... (and) I was able to observe Baoli in action.
I am sure that Global Volunteers is aware of Baoli's dedication and her value to the organization and I want you to know that should I ever be in a (similar) situation, I would want Baoli by my bedside advocating for me and managing my care. Wang Baoli is a great role model for all of us." - Leon Ablon, Team 175
You'll receive contact information for your China country manager approximately four weeks before your service program begins.
