China Free Time Options
Evenings and weekends are free to explore cultural and natural attractions around the host community. Xi'an and Kunming are filled with cultural and historical points of interest. For instance, in Xi'an, you may visit the ancient City Walls and Gates, the Forest of Steles, and of course, the Terra Cotta Warriors. Kunming boasts the site of World Expo 99, the Petrified Forest, numerous museums, and the largest and most diverse horticultural gardens in all of China. Historical military relics can be seen everywhere in and outside Kunming: the site of the former Yunnan Military Academy, the Monument in memory of the uprising against Yuan Shi-Kai, the stone tablet presented by Marshal Zhu De to the Abbot of Tanhua Temple, and the relics of the Red Army during their Long March through Kunming. Will Global Volunteers arrange free time options for me?
