Fourteenth Day of Teaching |
|
Annette is working on getting her students to learn the bicycle built for two song. Wes’ students wanted to learn part of the Star Spangled Banner. Wes and Annette learned that asking for the name of a CD can lead to much hussle-bussle.
Teaching today went well. After lunch Wang Baoli took us to visit Lalashou, one of the special education schools here in Xi’an. We were impressed with what they were doing at the school. When we visited one of the classrooms we couldn’t resist a rendition of itsy bitsy spider.
Wes and Wang Baoli exchanged pictures so now both have and extensive record of our visit. We topped off the day with a visit to the Tang Dynasty Palace for a delicious dumpling dinner (18 varieties in all) and an excellent performance of traditional Chinese music and dance. Now we know where all the tourists are.
