Weekend Adventure—Part 4

Sunday started bright and early with Easter church services at the Nan Xin Jie Christian Church.  The church was full for this service but the congregants generously made room for us.  Wes and Annette recognized the tune for some of the hymns and were able to join in the amen’s and alleluias.  After the service we struck up a conversation with a woman who is an English teacher at the university here and had spent time studying at Memphis University in the U.S.

Raphael, our tour guide for the day, met us at the church and we were off to the Terra Cotta warriors.  This wonder of the world is very impressive and many tourists were taking in this sight.  After lunch we visited the Banpo Neolithic Village museum to enjoy another Chinese archeological find.  We then visited a factory making solar water heaters.  Wes really enjoyed this visit and I think the owners enjoyed his interest and insightful questions.  All  in all a fun weekend of tourist attractions.
