Global Volunteers established the Costa Rica program in 1992. As with other programs around the world, we work in partnership with local people on long-term community service work projects. This is foundational to our relationship with host organizations worldwide. We have long-term relationships with the host organizations that we work with in Costa Rica and previous volunteer Service Programs have achieved a remarkable impact with these organizations. Our investments of volunteer service, financial support and international recognition are hallmarks of our commitment to our partnership with these local groups and institutions.
