As part of your Global Volunteers service program fee Global Volunteers purchases an International Volunteer Card which provides emergency medical evacuation insurance and other benefits. You can expect to receive an email from volunteercard.com confirming your enrollment approximately 3 months prior to your service program start date. The card will be mailed to you shortly after you receive the email.

The International Volunteer Card combines multi-trip travel insurance and over 100,000 local and national discounts, some of which are exclusive for volunteers - like 5% off across the board on Continental and United Airlines. Insurance is provide through TravelGuard, the largest travel insurance provider in the United States.
